You know it’s nearing the end of the semester
when you resort to grinding coffee with a ziplock bag and a hammer.
I’ll be posting some things soon! Just a few more days, and I’m done.

Fab.com Flash Sale. Large Faccetta Bowl White , 49% off
Fab.com
This large ceramic bowl is truly multifaceted. Its shape is meant to mimic gemstone cutting, allowing the Faccetta—“little face”—bowl to capture and reflect surrounding light. This high-caliber bowl was designed by award-winning ceramicist Søren Thygese.
Sad that I had to miss a FREE Flaming Lips concert tonight :(
I know this is such a cliche pick, but this song always makes me smile.

Here’s a print that I did in my Intaglio class last semester using a “found ground.” Basically, I dragged a copper plate around my neighborhood on the sidewalk to create a textured ground. I documented the path I took, transferred one of my photos onto my plate via screenprinting with acrylic ink and etched that image. I then traced my path on a map and transferred the line onto my plate using a sugarlift under asphaltum.
Whew. Lots of different processes going on here, but the found ground was really fun to do. I’d like to keep experimenting with that one.

As much as Etsy disappoints me, it seems to be the only place to sell things that gets attention. SO. I’ve started to list some of my prints for sale! I will be putting more up tomorrow, and hopefully I’ll get around to making an account for my jewelry as well.
Anybody else out there sell things on Etsy?

Finally, the moment you’ve all forgotten about! I recently photographed my forming project from last semester, so here it is.
